Truckfest, Trinity Park, Ipswich, June 16 and 17
Truckfest is the largest truck event within the UK and has been pulling in truck enthusiasts and industry key players for more than 35 years.
In addition to the hundreds of impressive haulage vehicles on show, there will be a host of other four and two-wheeled attractions including high-flying motorcycle stunts in the main arena and a great display of custom cars and the impressive NY Wrecker American rig.
You will be happy to hear that children under the age of 15 have free entry and will have the chance to meet their favourite TV characters from Paw Patrol, The Transformers, and Lightning McQueen.

Extreme Ninja Assault, Ipswich Rugby Club, June 16
Raise money for a good cause this weekend by doing something fun. Ipswich Rugby Club are hosting St Elizabeth Hospice’s Extreme Ninja Assault from 8.30am until 2pm this Saturday.
It is a family fun event where you will have to scramble under nets, slide through the up and overs, dart through rat runs and leap to finish.
There will be two courses one for those over 1.2 meters tall and a mini course for anyone under that height.

Thomas Wolsey lecture, University of Suffolk Waterfront Building, June 15
If you enjoyed the Thomas Wolsey Ipswich’s Greatest Son exhibition at Christchurch Mansion, then you will love the University of Suffolk’s lecture on Thomas Wolsey.
The lecture is free and will look at how he’s represented in literature. Wolsey, who was Henry VIII’s Chancellor, has fascinated scholars, TV viewers and theatre-goers alike.
This Friday Dr Gavin Schwartz-Leeper turns the spotlight on where his characterisations come from and why they retain such power.

Cars on the Green and The Bury Motor Show, Nowton Park, Bury St Edmunds, June 17
Cars on the Green and The Bury Motor Show returns to Nowton Park at the weekend.
This is a great opportunity for car enthusiasts to see the latest models of cars as well as classic, performance and modified vehicles.
There will be live music, children’s entertainment, live demonstrations, a trade village and many catering outlets including a bar.
While you are there explore the wild flower meadows and walled garden. The event starts at 10am and finishes at 4pm.
Tangled Open Air Cinema, Ickworth House, Bury St Edmunds, June 16
Spend quality time with your family while watching a Disney film in the sun on Saturday.
Tangled, which tells the tale of Rapunzel, will be played on a large screen before it gets dark.
The film will start at 5pm and will finish at approximately 6.30pm, adult tickets cost £10.50 and children are £5.50.

Father’s Day Steam Up, East Anglian Railway Museum, June 17
Treat your dad this Father’s Day to a day at the East Anglian Railway Museum. There will be steam train rides all day and the children will love the miniature railway and new train-themed play area.
You can also explore the vintage carriages and learn about operating the historic signal box.
The Restoration Shed will be open so you can take a look ‘behind the scenes’ at the locomotives under restoration, you will also have the opportunity to drive a loco for £10.
The miniature pub, The Viaduct Tavern, will be open for business serving real ale from the Colchester Brewery, wine, cider and soft drinks. There will also be a BBQ it will be a great day out for the family.
Splat Quack Go, Poplar Park Equestrain Centre, Woodbridge, June 16
Do you fancy doing something different this weekend? How does a mud run sound? Charity Fresh Start is hosting their Splat Quack Go event to raise funds. There will be deep mud, freezing water, boggy swamps and man-made obstacles.
You can pick from a 6km or 12km run, where you will crawl, jump, climb, splat, ran, waddle, and laugh.
All runners will receive a goody bag when they complete the run which includes a drink, snack and a tshirt.

Steps, Aqua and Blue concert, Colchester Castle Park, June 16
The pop sensation Steps are back and performing near you! But not only that, they are also bringing Aqua and Blue with them.
You can expect to sing your heart out to all the classics and some new tracks.
