POLICE have formally named a man who died after being found collapsed on a driveway in Eye as Richard Clarke.

POLICE have formally named a man who died after being found collapsed on a driveway in Eye as Richard Clarke.

The 73-year-old, from Cranley Green Road, was discovered on Saturday but later died in hospital.

Police are continuing to investigate his death and are renewing appeals for anyone with information to come forward.

Detectives are particularly keen to speak to anyone who was in Cranley Green Road, which is runs from Eye to Occold, close to the fishing lakes just outside Eye, between 6pm last Friday and 7am the following morning.

Anyone who drove, walked or cycled through the area, regardless of whether they think they saw anything, is asked to call Suffolk Police on 01473 613500.

A 42-year-old man, who was arrested on suspicion of murder in connection with Mr Clarke's death, has been bailed to return to Ipswich Police Station on October 12.
