A PENSIONER has been charged with causing death by careless driving following a crash in which a father-of-three died.

The 69-year-old woman was arrested following the death of Mark Britton whose motorbike was in collision with her car on the A120 last year.

Mr Britton, 46, from Great Horkesley, died at the scene of at Horsley Cross, between Little Bromley and Great Bentley, at about 6pm on October 22.

Essex Police have confirmed today the pensioner arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving has now been charged with the offence.

She has been bailed until April when she will appear at Colchester Magistrates' Court.
