A Suffolk leisure centre has reopened following a £3.5million refurbishment.
Deben Leisure Centre in Woodbridge, which closed in September last year to allow the work to take place, has opened for business again.
The project is the first to be completed in Suffolk Coastal District Council’s five year programme to improve leisure facilities and encourage more people to be active.
TJ Haworth-Culf, Suffolk Coastal’s cabinet member for customers, communities and leisure, said: “One of our key priorities is to get more people active. We hope the new Deben Leisure Centre will be an inspiration for the rest of the redevelopment programme.”
The leisure centre now boasts a more spacious gym with 58 work stations, two new exercise studios, a modernised pool area and a new thermal suite featuring a steam room, sauna and relaxation area. For more information and to sign up, see here
