A 28-YEAR-OLD man has been questioned by police in connection with an inquiry into incident where diners failed to pay a £520 bill at an Essex restaurant.
The incident took place on February 22 at Milsoms, an upmarket eaterie in Dedham, where a group of four diners feasted on champagne, steak and scallops before leaving without paying.
Police said a file has been submitted to the Crown Prosecution Service for consideration following the questioning of the man from Southend.
Last month, a 46-year-old woman was arrested in connection with the incident and asked to answer bail last week. Yesterday, the police confirmed she had been released without charge.
The incident hit the headlines earlier this year after police issued a CCTV image of the four diners - three men and one woman - who got through two bottles of £148 Dom Perignon champagne, three bottles of wine and ten courses before leaving the restaurant.
