Firefighters in Essex fought a fire on a derelict boat in Jaywick last night.
Two crews from Clacton were called to the blaze, in Brooklands, at around 11.30pm on Monday, February 13.
A spokesman for Essex County Fire Service said the boat, which was beached at the time, was completely destroyed by the fire.
He said: “On arrival crews reported that the boat, which is around 20 feet long, was completely alight.
“The boat was beached at the time and no-one was inside.
“It has been totally destroyed by the fire, which was extinguished by 11.55pm.”
He added that crews remained at the scene for a short time after to dampen down the area and ensure there was no risk of re-ignition.
