FIREFIGHTERS have been called to a blaze in a derelict building in Essex today.
The fire broke out at just after 1am in Brooklands Gardens, Jaywick, near Clacton.
On arrival the officer in charge reported that the derelict building, which measured five metres by five metres, was 50 per cent alight.
The fire was brought under control by 1.45am, and the cause is not yet known.
