A Service of Remembrance will be held on November 12 in Lowestoft.

The service will take place at the War Memorial at Royal Plain at 10.45 am with representatives from the Royal British Legion Lowestoft and District Brance, Wavney District Council and a number of other local organisations all being in attendance.

Cllr Stephen Ardley, Deputy Leader of Waveney District Council and Cabinet Member for Merger and Communities said: “The Service of Remembrance is an opportunity to reflect and remember those who have served, and continue to serve, in our armed forces. We would like to invite the whole community to come together on this poignant day.”

A parade with standard bearers, veterances, the Territorial Army, cadet forces and others will form at Claremont Pier at 10.15am.

An Armistice Day ceremony will also take place at the the Royal Plain on November 11 at 10.45 am.
