NEWCASTLE have won the Premier League play-offs - and will now face Elite League wooden-spoonists Ipswich for a place in next season’s top-flight.
The Diamonds overturned a ten-point first leg deficit against Sheffield, winning their home leg 58-36 on Sunday with Danish youngster Rene Bach scoring a paid maximum.
And boss George English says his side are now gunning for the Witches, with the first leg to take place at Brough Park on Sunday.
English said: “If they think we’re going to lie down and let them walk all over us then they’d better have a long hard think. We’re in a very comfortable winning groove and we’re not prepared to let that stop.
“That performance was superb and they really deserve the success of taking another national title as play-off champions.”
