POLICE are hunting bogus callers who struck in the Hadleigh area this afternoon.
The incident happened at a property in Toppes Field Close in the town just before 3.30pm.
Inspector Bruce Gent said: “We have had reports that two suspects pushed an elderly lady aside to enter a house claiming there was a problem with the water and they needed to look at the pipes.”
One of the men is described as being around 40, white, with an accent, possibly Irish and was wearing a multi-coloured jumper.
The other is thought to be around 20, white, wearing a navy blue or black jumper.
Both of them were said to be wearing gloves.
Police said they asked for money but came away with nothing.
