A DRIVER escaped serious injury after her car went out of control and ended up on its side in a roadside ditch.
Police said this morning's 7am incident on the A143 road at Stradishall, near Haverhill, left the woman driver trapped in her car. However, she was out of the hired Toyota Auris car by the time officers and fire crews arrived on the scene.
A police spokesman said the woman suffered superficial facial injuries in the accident. He said the road was clear but there would be hold ups when the damaged car was recovered later.
