POLICE launched a search of a park today after an 11-year-old girl was bitten on the face by a dog.The girl was in the play area of King George V Park in Wivenhoe at about 4.30pm.
POLICE launched a search of a park today after an 11-year-old girl was bitten on the face by a dog.
The girl was in the play area of King George V Park in Wivenhoe at about 4.30pm when the small dog ran in and attacked her.
The dog bit her cheek which did not cause the skin to break but did leave a bite mark.
It is described as being brown in colour with short hair and about 1ft in height. Anyone with information about the dog is asked to call Wivenhoe Police Station on 01206 822082.
