FIREFIGHTERS rescued a dog which was trapped in a drainage pipe this afternoon.
Fire crews were called to help the border terrier at 4.29pm after it became trapped in a pipe in Burton Hill, Withersfield, near Haverhill.
It was trapped three metres from the entrance of the pipe and one metre underground. Firefighters used shovels and a pick-axe to free the dog. The incident was over by 5.50pm.
