Double death crash case date set

A DATE has been set for the next hearing of Scott Nicholls, who is accused of causing the deaths of two women.
Nicholls, 20, of West Villa, Woodbridge Road, Ipswich, was excused from attending a preliminary hearing at Ipswich Crown Court today. He is accused of two counts of causing death by dangerous driving, driving a vehicle without insurance and driving while disqualified following an incident in Foxhall Road on February 21.
During the short hearing, it was decided that the plea and case management hearing will take place on Thursday, March 19.
Judge Neil McKittrick said the presence of Nicholls would be required at the next hearing and that a plea should be entered then.
Nicholls was remanded in custody.
Emma Harold, 26, and Kate Wasyluk, 25, both from Ipswich, died in the crash, and Emma's sister Rebecca Harold, 25, was left with serious injuries. They were on their way home from a night out when the incident happened.

Nicholls last appeared at South East Suffolk Magistrates Court on Wednesday, February 25.
