Budding actors are being offered a chance to find their inner Oscar winner thanks to a new drama group opening in Boxted.

The club begins tomorrow from 2pm at the village hall and is open to anyone aged 16 and over, no matter their experience.

It comes of the back of a successful production of Aladdin which was recently performed in the village.

Founder of the group, Scott Dolling, hopes the club will fill the void following the recent panto.

He said: “This is open to anyone to come and have a go in a friendly and relaxed environment.

“We will look at several aspects of acting and put them to practice, a little like many of us will have enjoyed at school. Not everyone wants to perform in front of an audience and so we will be developing skills, working on improvisation, characters, some routines and scenes.”
