A driver caught travelling at 126mph on a Suffolk road has been disqualified from driving for five months.
Ian Farrar pleaded guilty to speeding when his case came before South East Suffolk Magistrates’ Court in Ipswich.
The 52-year was driving at 56mph above the 70mph limit on the A14 at Exning, near Newmarket.
At the time Farrar was in a 2014-registered BMW 730D.
The offence occurred shortly before 8.55am on October 15 last year.
In addition to his ban Farrar, of Springfield Road, Rushden, Northamptonshire was also fined £665.
Magistrates also ordered him to pay £85 costs as well as £67 to the victims’ fund.
