Driver cut out of car after crash

A DRIVER had to be cut out of his car today after it crashed into a lamppost near the Martlesham Park and Ride entrance.

A DRIVER had to be cut out of his car by firefighters today after it crashed into a lamppost near the Martlesham Park and Ride entrance.

His wife and child, who were also in the black Hyundai Santa Fe escaped injury, which occurred on the Woodbridge-bound A12.

The single vehicle accident occurred around 2pm.

It is believed the driver, who is from the Leiston area, was unhurt. However police said the family were taken to Ipswich Hospital as a precaution.
