A motorist has died after the car she was driving crashed into a lamp post and overturned into a garden.
Emergency services were called to Main Road, Boreham, shortly after 6pm yesterday.
The black Smart car driver, a Maldon woman in her 60s, was later pronounced dead at the scene.
Any witnesses who have not yet spoken to police should contact officers from the Essex Police Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 101 or email collisionappeal@essex.pnn.police.uk.
