A BURY St Edmunds woman is to face trial in February after pleading not guilty to causing the death of an 87-year-old pedestrian by careless driving.
Louise McLaren, 37, of Raedwald Drive, denied the charge when she appeared at Ipswich Crown Court yesterday.
The collision between Joan Pointer and McLaren’s Vauxhall Zafira occurred on March 2, in Rougham Road, Bury St Edmunds.
Mrs Pointer was taken to West Suffolk Hospital, but died the following day.
McLaren was released on bail until her trial, which is due to begin at Ipswich Crown Court on February 14.
