A MAN is in a serious condition in hospital following a car crash near Eye.
The man was cut free from the driver's seat of a blue Ford Focus, on the B1077, between Brome and Eye.
Emergency services were called to the scene at about 1.20am this morning. Upon arrival they found the car hanging over a small bridge leading to an industrial estate.
A female passenger managed to get out safely but the male driver was unconscious and trapped in the car.
One fire crew from Eye and two crews from Diss used hydraulic equipment to cut the man free.
He is likely to be transferred to Addenbrookes Hospital with serious injuries.
The road reopened at about 8.30am.
