Driver unhurt after car lands on roof
A CAR has overturned on a Suffolk road today.
A DRIVER had a lucky escape today when his car careered across the A137 and ploughed through a road sign before overturning on a bank.
Richard Hall, 30, who works for Suffolk County Council, was overtaking another car on the Ipswich side of Tattingstone as he headed towards town when the accident happened just before 7.25am.
Mr Hall was pulling out to go past the other vehicle when he saw a motorcycle overtaking his V registration black Ford Focus.
He said: “I was doing about 40 to 45mph. I thought I would overtake and literally at the last moment I saw the motorbike in my wing mirror.
“I tried to pull back in and the car started to swerve and it flipped as I came off the road.
“My first thought when I had flipped over was 'I'm alive'.
