MOTORISTS were today warned to take extra precautions after a torrential downpour in Suffolk.
Heavy rain fell across the region this morning but there were no reports of an increase in accidents on the roads.
However a spokeswoman for Suffolk police said: “We would re-iterate to motorists to tailor their driving according to the weather conditions and that includes using dipped headlights.”
The Evening Star weatherman Ken Blowers said the depression which brought the rain would pass later this afternoon, leaving changeable weather for the rest of the week.
