ALES Dryml is on his way back to Peterborough – and will make his seasonal debut on Friday night.

The Czech Republic star will come into the Readypower Panthers’ line-up against Elite League champions Wolverhampton instead of Ulrich stergaard.

It is Peterborough’s second signing in little more than 24 hours after they snapped up Workington’s Craig Cook as their new number eight.

Dryml was a regular in the squad last season but missed out by a whisker when the Panthers had to make a late change on the eve of the season.

It was straight choice between Dane stergaard and ex-Grand Prix star Dryml to take over from Karol Zabik after the former World Under 21 Champion declared himself unfit to make a track comeback.

Now Dryml will get his chance and will ride at number two against Wolves.

Team boss Trevor Swales: “We think Ales will strengthen us at home because he has shown that he can do really well at the Showground. How many points teams get from their home meetings could well decide which teams make it into the play-offs and that’s one major reason for making this move.

“Ulrich is a little bit unfortunate but clearly we needed to make a change.”
