Highways England engineers will be carrying out work on roads across the region over the next seven days:

A12 junction 29 to 26 at Colchester: Work to resurface sections of the southbound carriageway will start on Monday for five nights with working hours of 8pm to 6am. There will be a full closure in place on the southbound carriageway and a clearly signed diversion will be in place

A12 Essex: Work to clear vegetation along the A12 verges east and westbound between Ipswich and Brentwood. Lane closures will be in place past the section being worked on overnight, between 8pm and 6am.

A12 junction 24 to 23 Kelvedon: Work to repair the A12 southbound carriageway concrete between junctions 24 and 23 takes place this week. Work will take place between 9pm and 6am from Monday for four nights. The southbound carriageway will be closed and a clearly signed diversion route will be in place along the B1024 through Kelvedon.

A12 junction 32b Capel St Mary: Work continues this week to replace the safety barrier on the A12. Lane closures with a 40mph speed restriction will be in place east and westbound Monday to Friday 8pm to 6am.

A12 and A120, Essex: Work to repair damaged safety barriers along the A12 and A120 in various locations continues this week, with working hours of 8pm to 6am, weeknights only. Single lane closures will be in place past the area being worked on.

A14 Cambridge to Huntingdon: Construction work on the new A14 Cambridge to Huntingdon scheme is now well underway.

A14, Suffolk: Work to clear vegetation along the A14 verges westbound between Felixstowe and Newmarket will continue. Lane closures will be in place past the section being worked on, between 8pm and 6am.

A14 between Higham and Bury St Edmunds, westbound: Work to reconstruct and resurface the dual carriageway between junctions 40 and 43 continues this week. Full westbound closures are required weeknights only between 8pm and 6am until 31 January. A clearly signed diversion route will be in place via the A1101 and A11.

A14 Coddenham to Claydon: Work to improve the embankment at the layby begins this week. The layby will be closed and localised lane closures will take place on weeknights between 8pm and 6am until 15 March.

A14 junction 49 to 50 and A1308, Stowmarket: Works to conduct surveys of the Hill House bridge starts Monday, lasting seven nights, weeknights only, with working hours of 9pm to 5am.

The works will require a short section closure of the A1308, underneath the bridge, on Monday. On the A14, between junction 49 and 50, a full westbound closure will be in place for two nights, with a full eastbound closure in place for five nights. A clearly signed diversion route will be in place.

A14 junction 52 Claydon: Work to survey the entry and exit slip roads at the A14 junction 52 Claydon, starts Monday, lasting four nights, with working hours of 8pm to 6am. Full closure of the entry and exit slip roads will be in place on Monday and Tuesday, with single lane closures planned for the other nights. When the slip roads are closed, traffic will be diverted to the next junction of the A14.

A14 Orwell Bridge: Work to resurface the concrete carriageway between Orwell and Levington continues this week. The work is being carried out in sections between 9pm and 6am each night (Monday to Friday).
