East Anglian man arrested on suspicion of manslaughter following Leicester explosion

A man from East Anglia is the sixth to be arrested in connection with a deadly explosion in Leicester.
The blast on February 25 killed five people and destroyed a supermarket in Hinckley Road and a two-storey flat above.
Three men are due in court on Monday accused of causing the explosion.
Two other men from East Anglia were arrested in connection with the incident on Friday but have since been released under investigation.
A spokesman for Leicestershire Police said they were detained on suspicion of conspiracy to cause an explosion and for offences under the Proceeds of Crime Act.

The sixth man, in his 40s, is also from East Anglia and was arrested on Sunday on suspicion of manslaughter.
The force spokesman said the suspect was currently in custody where he would be questioned by detectives.

On Saturday, police charged Arkan Ali, 37, Hawkar Hassan, 32, and Aram Kurd, 33, with manslaughter and arson with intent to endanger life.
Ali, of Drake Close, Oldham, Hassan, of Eld Road, Coventry, and Kurd, of Hillary Place, Leicester, are due to appear in custody at Leicester Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
Four of the people killed in the blast have been named as Shane, 18, and Sean Rajoobeer, 17, Leah Beth Reek, 18, who was Shane’s girlfriend, and Viktorija Ljevleva, 22.
The fifth victim killed in the explosion in Hinckley Road on February 25 is believed to be Shane and Sean’s 46-year-old mother Mary.
