Looking for some Easter fun for youngsters? Here are details of some egg hunts and seasonal activities in store across the area.

Easter Egg Hunt

Promenade Park, Maldon

March 25

Youngsters can follow a trail around the park to receive an Easter egg and a piece of fruit. The egg hunt runs from 10am to 3pm. This year an extra activity is also being added, the Easter egg roll. Children will line up to take part in two egg races, at 11am and 1pm. For more details, see the website.

Good Friday, March 30, to Easter Monday, April 2

Billed as the farm’s biggest event of the year, the holiday weekend includes an Easter treasure hunt with a special treat for children who solve the clues. There’s also the chance to cuddle bunnies and lambs, and possibly even see a lamb being born. The event runs from 10am to 5pm daily. For more details, see the website.

Children can follow a trail to claim a chocolate reward. If the weather is good enough, there will also be an outdoor craft station. The egg hunt, organised by Essex Wildlife Trust, will run from 11am to 3pm daily. To find out more, visit the website.

The farm park is arranging a puzzle-themed Easter hunt. Youngsters can search for clues around the farm to solve the Easter puzzle and receive a chocolate egg reward. Good Friday, March 30, to Easter Monday, April 2

Children can take part in a trail through the heritage centre’s galleries and collections, with fun quizzes to complete in order to win a chocolate Easter egg. Family Easter Event

There will be egg hunts for toddlers at the family Easter event. The day runs from 11am to 5pm, with the egg hunts starting at 12noon and 3pm. Other activities include egg and spoon races, the chance to feed lambs and climb the tower. For full details, see the website.

Chelmsford Ladies’ Circle are organising their 15th annual Easter bunny hunt. Join them to hunt for wooden bunnies in the venue’s beautiful grounds and win a chocolate prize.
