Extra tickets to see Suffolk superstar Ed Sheeran have gone on sale after a new date was announced.

Ipswich Borough council confirmed on social media that due to overwhelming fan demand a third gig would be held on the Sunday after his two previously announced dates.

The new announcement means that Sheeran will now be playing August 23,24 and 25 at Chantry Park in Ipswich.

A statement on the council’s Facebook page said: “Two wasn’t enough! Ed Sheeran is a set to perform a third show in Ipswich’s Chantry Park on Sunday 25th August 2019.

“Fans can use only the official ticket sites listed at www.edsheeran.com”

Tickets for Ed’s Saturday gig were snapped up quickly, while Friday tickets are still available.

No word has been given on whether Ed will play any extra dates at his other UK stop, Leeds.
