East Anglia’s most beloved singer/songwriter swept up at the biggest awards ceremony of the year - to the surprise of music journalists and bookies.
The Framlingham troubador was not expected to win the two Grammy Awards he was nominated for and was a rank outsider against the likes of Kesha, Lady Gaga, Pink and Kelly Clarkson.
He won Best pop solo performance and best pop vocal album with his latest release, Divide.
Already a Grammy winner, Ed previously won the Song Of The Year and Best Pop Solo Performance at the ceremony in 2006.
Newly-engaged Ed did not attend the glamourous event in New York city - perhaps he was too busy planning a Suffolk wedding.
