POLICE are hunting an “egg-shaped” man in connection with a distraction burglary.

POLICE are hunting an “egg-shaped” man in connection with a distraction burglary.

The man, described as being of fat build and balding, stole cash from the home of an 87-year-old man after claiming he needed to test the electrics because someone near-by had been electrocuted.

He asked the victim to remain in the kitchen of his home in Stradbroke Road, Lowestoft, while he conducted some tests. He then left the house with a quantity of money.

The man is described as white, in his late 40s to early 60s, with a shaven or bald head, of large build and around 5ft 8in tall. He was wearing a light blue shirt and dark trousers.

The incident happened on Monday and the man walked off towards Lansdowne Road.
