AN elderly woman was airlifted to hospital after a two-car crash in Ramsey, near Harwich.
The accident happened at just after 3pm today when a red Nissan Micra and a Vauxhall Safira collided near the junction with Laurel Avenue.
An elderly woman in the Nissan had to be cut free by fire crews and the Essex Air Ambulance flew her to Colchester General Hospital.
A 35-year-old man in the Vauxhall had neck injuries.
A spokesman for Stanway Road Policing Unit in Colchester said neither casualty was seriously injured in the accident.
