AN 80-year-old woman was being treated by paramedics this evening after she was involved in a two-vehicle collision on the A12 southbound near the turning to Saxmundham.
The woman, who is believed to have suffered a fractured sternum, was conscious and breathing when ambulance crews arrived at 7.24pm and was not trapped in the vehicle.
The accident involved a red Renault Clio travelling from Saxmundham and a red Peugeot 206 from Maidenhead in Berkshire.
The road was closed for about 45 minutes while police and fire crews also attended the scene, and the vehicles were recovered shortly after 8pm.
