Police investigating a robbery on the outskirts of Elmswell are urging motorists to get in touch with dash cam footage.
Two men approached a mobile food takeaway van in Norton Road, parked in a layby just north of the Elmswell roundabout, at around 10.40pm last Thursday.
They turned the generator off before one of the men attempted to get inside the van.
Detectives believe a fight then broke out between the suspect and business owner.
A police spokesman said: “The second man approached the victim holding what is described as a large pole or bat. “The victim managed to run off and flagged down a passing motorist who assisted.
“A till containing a quantity of cash was stolen from the van.”
The victim also suffered cuts to his hands.
