Visitors to a Suffolk castle this weekend will be able to learn about combat before a live theatre performance of Geoffrey Chaucer’s The Knight’s Tale.
Historical performers Blast from the Past will be teaching young knights the skills of combat, archery and jousting at Framlingham Castle on Saturday and Sunday.
The group will also perform The Knight’s Tale, from Chaucer’s Canterbury Tales, before finishing with a children’s battle to put their new combat skills to the test.
Cate Milton, Events Manager at English Heritage, said: “If you want to get stuck in with some historical hands-on activities and enjoy a live theatre performance in the walls of Framlingham Castle, come along and join us when one of Chaucer’s best loved tales, A Knights Tale, will be brought to life. It promises to be a great weekend for the whole family.”
