LAKESIDE Hammers are both proud to announce that, as a part of the Club’s community programme, Essex Air Ambulance will be the Club’s nominated regional charity for the 2010 season.
Operating seven days a week the Essex Air Ambulance is a Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS) with the ability to access remote areas quickly, bringing highly qualified clinicians and life-saving equipment to patients within the first few vital minutes of an emergency.
Patients can be airlifted to the most appropriate hospital quickly capitalizing on the aircraft’s unique advantage of speed and versatility when minutes can make all the difference between life and death. It costs in the region of 250,000 per month to cover all charitable costs and aircraft operations.
The Charity is reliant upon donations from the people and businesses of Essex who give generously to keep the county’s life-saving service in the air.
The Hammers will be promoting the Essex Air Ambulance through a range of channels and initiatives over the forthcoming season.
