FIREFIGHTERS were called to tackle a blaze in a field close to a holiday park in St Osyth.
Crews from Clacton and Billericay were sent to the scene in Beach Road at around 3.42pm.
They discovered a field of cut straw alight near the Seawick Holiday Park.
A spokeswoman for Essex County Fire and Rescue Service said the blaze was under control by 4.30pm.
