A flood alert has been issued for parts of the Essex coast today.
The Environment Agency made the announcement at around 7.15am for the area from Clacton to the Bradwell-on-Sea area.
On the agency’s website it said: “We are expecting high tide levels on the Essex coast due to spring tides. No significant surge is expected.
“The forecast high water is due at Clacton at 1.23pm.”
An Environment Agency flood alert means flooding is possible and people should be prepared, but no immediate action is required.
