A MAN has died after suffering fatal injuries in an accident on a busy dual carriageway.
The accident happened on the eastbound side of the A120 between Dunmow and Braintree at about 7.20pm this evening.
An Essex County Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said the accident involved a broken-down HGV and a van and other vehicles are thought to have been damaged.
The driver of the van, a man in his thirties from north Essex, died at the scene.
The eastbound side of the road remains closed and emergency services, including fire crews from Dunmow and Braintree, are expected to remain at the scene for several hours.
