POP star Peter Andre has pulled out of his current UK tour, including a planned gig in Clacton next Saturday, due to the deteriorating health of his brother Andrew, it has been announced.

But the singer says he will not be letting down his fans in the town - and has arranged to bring his “Up Close and Personal” show to The Venue in Clacton on Saturday January 26.

The company which runs The Venue says that ticket-holders can choose to opt for the new date, or to obtain a full refund by contacting the box office in person or by calling 0845 815 9709.

A statement from Peter Andre’s management company said that it was with great regret that Peter would be postponing his remaining tour dates.

The statement continued: “His brother Andrew’s health has taken a turn for the worse, and Peter has made the decision to be with him and his family at this time.”

Entertainments manager at The Venue, John Flack, said everyone at the centre had been greatly saddened by the news about Peter’s brother.

“This is clearly a very difficult time for him, and we are grateful to Peter for taking the first opportunity to share his news with us and his fans in Clacton. I am sure that all our ticket holders will understand completely his decision, and join with us in wishing him the very best at this troubling time in his life.”
