Suspected arsonist arrested after car fire

A man has been arrested on suspicion of arson following a car fire.

Essex Police Tweeted that they were called to the vehicle being set on fire in Waldegrave Way, Lawford, near Manningtree, at around 12.30am on Saturday, December 1.

Officers said: “A 28-year-old man from #Colchester arrested on suspicion of arson has been released under investigation.”

Anyone with information about the incident should call Essex Police’s Harwich Local Policing Team by calling 101.
