Essex: Police hunt for man after rock thrown through windscreen on A120 Little Bentley

A WOMAN was lucky to escape without injury after a rock was thrown through her car windscreen.

The incident, which happened on Wednesday night but has only now been released by Essex Police, took place on the A120 Little Bentley, near the turn-off to Great Bentley, the B1035.

The driver saw a youth or man standing on the near side of the A120 as she headed towards Colchester. He was wearing a dark top with jeans and trainers.

The woman was driving a red Seat car.

A police spokesman said: “Anyone who saw anything, or may know who did it, or who has heard anything that could be useful, is asked to please contact Pc Carly Stokes or her colleagues at Colchester Police on 101, or you can leave information anonymously with Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
