Man stabbed in the back in violent Colchester attack

A man has been taken to hospital with stab wounds after an assault near the River Colne.

Essex Police were called with reports of a man injured in Ship Wharf, Colchester at around 12.44pm this afternoon.

Officers subsequently found a person with a stab wound to the back, who was taken to hospital for treatment.

Investigations are ongoing.

A spokesman for Essex Police said: “If you saw or heard anything or have any other information about the incident please call us on 101 quoting the incident 500 of October 10 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
