A teenager was sat in his car outside an Essex college when a man opened his vehicle door and grabbed him, police said.
Essex Police are no longer looking for a man in a CCTV image in connection with an assault in Colchester.
Police had released an image of a man they wanted to speak to in connection with the alleged assault.
A police spokesperson said: “We are no longer looking to identify a man in a CCTV image in connection with an assault outside a college in North Hill Colchester, on Saturday, December 23.
“A man attended Colchester police station tonight (February 19) in connection with our enquiries.”
The investigation is ongoing.
