Chelmsford Magistrates' Court
An Essex Police officer was convicted of harassing a woman earlier today.
PC Duncan Grant, 35, admitted harassment during a hearing at Chelmsford Magistrates Court.
Grant had been arrested yesterday after an allegation from the victim.
The policeman, based at Canvey Police Station, was given a £600 fine, ordered to pay court costs and given a restraining order.
Essex Police said Grant was suspended from duty and his position will now be considered in light of the the court result.
