Police have located a missing 14-year-old boy from Mersea.

Connor Whitworth had last been seen in Tiptree on Friday, March 15, at around 11am and spotted again in Colchester the following day.

A police spokesman said officers had been working over the weekend to trace Connor but were unable to find him so launched a public appeal to find him.

A police spokesman has since confirmed Connor has been found safe in London.

They thanked the public for their support and sharing the appeal on social media.
