THE winners of this year’s Anglia in Bloom competition have been announced.
Halstead was crowned the best overall entry, claiming the coveted “Anglia in Bloom” trophy. They also took home the Best Town category.
Gold Awards were also awarded to Frinton, Bury St Edmunds and Colchester while Stowmarket took home a Silver Award for their efforts.
Chairman of Anglia in Bloom Bob Ollier said: “I wish to congratulate all the communities and neighbourhoods in the East of England, for the enthusiasm, commitment and effort made to improve, develop and sustain local environments across our region, it is a great credit to you all. Well done.
“With 17 Gold Awards this year, the competition was very close, but Halstead should be congratulated on their achievement of consistent high marks across all the key criteria in all sections of the competition.”
