A MAN has been jailed for six years after admitting to murdering Gary Vigors.
The 42-year-old father-of-one from Dovercourt, Essex, who grew up in Southwold, died after he was stabbed in the neck while on holiday in Magaluf, Majorca in March 2011.
Thomas Swannell, 46, was due to stand trial at Palma de Mallorca court on Monday.
He appeared at the same court on Wednesday, admitted murder and was jailed for six years, minus the two years he has spent remanded in custody.
Mr Vigors’ father, David, a retired constable with Essex Police, said today he was disappointed with the six year sentence.
