POLICE are trying to trace a taxi driver who may have important information in connection with a rape investigation.
An 18-year-old woman was allegedly assaulted at an address in Great Horkesley on November 15 after meeting the suspect at Missoula bar in Colchester.
Officers now know that a man and woman were taken by taxi from Colchester High Street, near McDonald’s to Great Horkesley at 10.54pm.
The taxi driver, or anyone who knows the driver involved, are asked to call detectives at the Sexual Offences Investigation team at Colchester on 101.
A 21-year-old man from the Harwich area was arrested on Sunday, November 25, on suspicion of rape and was bailed until January 27 pending further inquiries.
