Police are appealing for information after a car overturned on the A12.

Officers were called around 10.15am today to reports that a grey Seat Ibiza had lost control between junctions 25 and 26.

The driver was not injured and police are investigating reports that a large white van had swerved close to the vehicle ahead of the collision.

The crash forced the closure of the road between junction 25 at Marks Tey and junction 26 at Eight Ash Green around 10.50am.

Anyone with information or dash cam footage is asked to call Stanway Roads Policing Unit on 101, quoting incident 404 of 12/10.

Information can also be reported online by visiting the Essex Police website or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111
