A Suffolk gallery is set to host work by the East Anglian Group of Marine Artists for the second time.
The paintings go on display to the public from April 5-26 at Thompson’s Gallery, in Aldeburgh.
With a newly appointed patron, Libby Purves OBE, and long-standing patron Sir Robin Knox-Johnson CBE, RD, the reputation of the group continues to grew since it began in 1979, when six amateur and professional painters, inspired by the surroundings and a shared enthusiasm for the marine scene, met at the Butt and Oyster pub at Pin Mill, on the banks of the Orwell.
The exhibition promises to offer an interesting portrayal of our coast, with artists working in a variety of styles.
