A 24-year-old motorist who died after suffering serious head and neck injuries during a crash in Exning near Newmarket has been named by police.
Luke O’Sullivan from Carter Road, Fordham near Ely in Cambridgeshire, was left fighting for his life after his silver Peugeot 206 collided with a lamppost in Cemetery Hill at 4.35am on Saturday, April 19.
He was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge but died from his injuries on Friday, April 25.
Police are continuing to investigate the collision and are asking anyone who saw the vehicle prior to or at the time of the crash to call Pc Dean Webb at the serious collision investigation team on 101.
